Bimetal dies---low cost, long life
Introduction:
To make a new die takes a long period but the life of them is shorter than expected. So we develop DM series high cost-effective bimetal block which is tailored to the particular requirements of customers. We will choose the proper welding wire according to the type of the die combining with common base material to make the low cost-long life die.
Advantage of the custom die:
1.The performance is better than traditional die steel such as DIN1.2344 and DIN1.2714;
2. No need heat treatment. We have rough machined the shape of the blocks (as per user request), and the customer only need do final machining which can save a lot time;
3. Dies can be sunk after using;
4. The base material has excellent toughness to avoid cracks;
5. Nitriding is allowed to increase die life.
Manufacturing procedure:
DM5 is used to replace the die which base material is 1.2713 or SKT4. We will choose a comparitively cheaper base material and weld the cavity with our welding wires.
